How To Insert a Photo Into a Glass Ornament {Delightfully Creative}

This is part two of how I created Cupcake's First Christmas ornament. You can find out how to get a baby's handprint onto an ornament here.

This technique is SO EASY, you will want to do it to commemorate every year! All you need is:
  • A printer and computer
  • Scissors
  • A pencil, chopstick, or some other long, skinny
  • A sheet of vellum paper (Vellum paper is a wax-like paper sold in the scrapbook section. Hobby Lobby sells them by the sheet in size 8.5x11)
First, print your photo in wallet-size on the vellum paper. You can insert vellum paper into your printer like standard printer and print as normal.

Next, cut the photo out. Pull the silver/gold top off of the ornament.  Roll the two ends of the photo into the middle of the paper to make it small enough to fit into the top of the ornament. Stick the photo into the ornament. The vellum will bounce back and make the photo uncurl. Use the pencil/chopstick to completely straighten out sides.

That's it! This will allow you to put the photo inside completely straight with no creases.
