Mini Framed Chalkboard Magnets {Delightfully Creative}

I love the mini fancy frames you can find in the dollar spot at Michael's. Every season, they sell them in various colors. I have made them into fridge frames before. I really wanted to use them for gifts, but didn't want to do the fridge frame again and it suddenly came to me-mini fancy fridge chalkboards!

The frames are about 2" by 3."
They are perfect for little reminders...
and countdowns...

...and little love notes!

They are super easy and quick to make.

First, remove the stand from the back of the frame and hot glue a strong magnet to the back.

If you have chalkboard sheets, you can simply cut them to size and put them in the frames (after removing the plastic fronts). But, if you're like me and cannot find yours, then you make your own!

Remove the plastic front from the frame (this is the thing that is the makeshift glass). Trace it on card stock and cut out. Paint cut out with chalkboard paint-follow directions on the bottle and paint two coats.

Condition the mini chalkboards by rubbing with chalk and erasing. Put mini chalkboard sheets in frame and secure shut. That's it!

I wanted a cute little container to hold chalk and found these mini corked bottles in the jewelry section at Hobby Lobby-they were too cute and perfect!

I simply hot glued a strong magnet to the back and decorated them with baker's twine.

Now, I want to make one for myself!
