It kills me when I'm in Times Square and I walk past a packed-full Olive Garden and TGI Fridays. You're in Times Square, people! Eat somewhere you can only eat in New York! Plus, the Olive Garden and TGI Fridays is twice as expensive in Times Square.
The following are three places I love to eat in Times Square (though I usually try to avoid TS unless I'm seeing a play!)
W 45th between Broadway and 8th
Price-$10-$18, $7 for cheesecake
Cuisine: American
Dress: Casual
Known For: Yummy Cheesecake
Junior's is known for their cheesecake, but their sandwiches are pretty good too. I've also heard the breakfast is good, but I've never tried it. You can eat in or take out.
620 8th Ave-Corner of 8th and 41st
Price-Hamburgers are around $6, fries $3 and shakes $7
Cuisine: American
Dress: Casual
Known For: Burgers and Shakes
Yummy hot dogs and burgers-how can that go wrong? Great Place for kids!
1650 Broadway
Price-$12-$18
Cuisine: American Diner
Dress: Casual
Known For: Singing and Dancing Waiters and Waitresses
The food at Stardust is not great-it's really overpriced hot dogs and hamburgers BUT it's so much fun to go there at least once. Your waiters and waitresses entertain by singing Broadway numbers.
