Here's what I've been up to for the past week in New York City!
Not much exploring occurred this week. It was our first full week of ministry, so I've been busy, BUT I've eaten a lot of yummy food, which I will post about later.
Fulton & South Streets Manhattan, Pier 17
The Southside Seaport offers an array of shops and resteraunts, but it's also fun to visit for it's fabulous views of the city-
and of the Brooklyn Bridge!
There's lots of cute shops indoors and outside, especially for tourists looking for some fun NYC stuff (not the junk you find in the NYC stores in Times Square)
Madison Square Park
Last weekend was the 9th Annual Big Apple Barbeque Festival! 16 of the country's best barbeque places were here to show off their hog. Each place was $8 for barbeque and a side. Yum!
We had a little taste of home with Ed Mitchell from Raleigh, NC. Wonderful Carolina style BBQ!
We also tried some ribs from a New York City joint, Blue Smoke.
My favorite was the pork shoulder from Blackjack in Charleston
It was yummy and so fun-lots of free stuff and great time in Madison Square Park (one of the best in NYC)
I literally became a pig.
Delightfully Lovin' NYC,
